Richie Hawtin Shares More Details On That Anticipated Plastikman Album

Pull out the electronic music archives techno enthusiasts. For the first time in more than ten years, Richie Hawtin will revisit his classic Plastikman alias and return to his minimal tech root with more details on his previously announced full length album.

In a recent interview with Time Out Shanghai, the famous DJ and producer who has partnered with Deadmau5 on a number of projects in the last 12 months and even released a song for the Canadian Mau5trap owner under yet another alias Testpilot shared more intimate details on his forthcoming LP;

“The album is imminent. It’s basically finished. There’s only one Plastikman show, happening later this year, because I hope to gear up the project next year. Imminent means a timeframe in my head… everybody will find out about it on the day of release. There’ll be all sorts of formats.”

Record collectors will be sure to have their chance at grabbing the historic new release. With no date set in any kind of stone, the bird will be the word. In the meantime, check this short documentary on Plastikman’s appearance at the Guggenheim Museum last year!
