A new competition from WhoSampled in association with library music specialists Imagem Production Music will see 20 talented producers gain access to original material from the Boosey & Hawkes and Cavendish catalogues in the first-of-its-kind event at the Great Escape Festival, the ‘Samplethon’.

The challenge: to produce a new track using the provided sample material against the clock, with the supervision and assistance of our team of esteemed mentors. This is a rare opportunity to sample from these highly regarded recordings performed by world class musicians, free from the legal shackles often associated with sampling.

The samples used on the day will be pre-selected by a group of five producers from all walks of the musical spectrum that have been gushingly mining the Boosey & Hawkes Catalogue which you can watch and get a little green over the video just below.The comeptition will be going doing down on May 10th and we’ll be following what comes of it with very keen ears.
