Watch: Homemade Lego Synth Play Acid House

Lego

A creative braj slash PHD academic by the name of Alex Allmont has unintentionally given Lego a piece of viral video marketing genius through a homemade acid house synth put together with Lego and an assortment of electrical devices.

The intricate project that was inspired by the likes of minimal techno produced by “Plastikman and Basic Channel” was commissioned by Oxford Contemporary Music in the UK for English boutique experimental music festival Audiograft that ran for five days over mid-March.

The video showcases how the device drives mechanically and then takes you inside to what noises are being created by actions involved in the mini musical lego city. Truly innovative and forward thinking stuff! Lego’s for future generations?
