DJ Mag has released it’s annual Top 100 clubs list; with few surprises and Aussie club efforts shunned. Space Ibiza (pictured above) leads the pack, with it’s notorious parties, world-class and 2000+ acts pushing it to the top of the ladder.
Although we’re unsure exactly what the selection criteria was (one commenter suggesting “Their ranking algorithm must put a lot of weight in the ‘places most likely to find vomit in the stalls’ category…” lolz), seems like a reasonably decent list.
Yet again, however, it neglects the majority of decent underground clubs. Yes, we realise that getting on the list would defeat the purpose of an ‘underground’ venue – the list still glorifies the mass rave nightlife not all of us enjoy.
