Moscow-based indie band Pompeya has recently taken the spotlight and are made all the more popular by wonderful dance music remixes of their tunes. A lot of the remixes fall into something of the nu-disco set, but here we have a remix that goes hard.

Previously under the guide NinetyNine, The Midnight Clock sets the stage to take Pompeya’s “Cheenese” to a very raw place. A huge electro bassline is the focus here and the kick/snare combo matches up. The track drops right into Pompeya’s dry vocals, contrasting with the tough percussion and bass to somehow give one of those disconcerting techno feelings.
