Techno mainstay Alan Fitzpatrick has just released his latest bit on Adam Beyer‘s Drumcode imprint, demonstrating exactly why he’s been a powerhouse for so long. The Swedish label is undoubtedly one of the scene’s most leading outputs, having released tunes in 2013 from the likes of Joseph Capriati, Kaiserdisco, Harvey McKay, Sam Paganini, Paul Ritch, Petter B and more; ‘The Tetra’ EP is another example of raw techno power. The title-track is dark if not gothic yet twinkling, while ‘1992’ is a throwback sounding tune with crackling percussion and a raw industrialised beat. EP highlight for me is ‘We Are Forever Young’ with its slow-burning after hours vibe and hypnotic bass stabs. Huge.
