So out of nowhere, Slugabed has taken a break from creating his Activia Benz imprint and released a double single on the legendary Ninja Tune. It’s been a while since his ‘Time Team’ album, but he’s clearly been spending studio time well with ‘DO U C ME THO / U RIGHT’ calling on hectic grime and ethereal hip-hop, and as the Ninja Tune review said, the EP is “nodding firmly towards the harder, dancefloor end of his musical repertoire.” These tunes are downright silly. Highly recommended.
