Skrillex and Boys Noize with their powers combined as Dog Blood hit the Red Bull Studios in New York City to finish work on their upcoming second E.P. and the awesome red bull music team sat down with the pair to talk Dog Blood’s inception and where the producers are at with the project. Their new ‘skate/punk/metal’ (yep) track called ‘Shred or Die’ sees Sonny Moore dust off his guitar to ‘kick it a little harder’, meeting in the middle with Ridha who’s background is all ‘about long builds and keeping the groove.’
If you make music out there and you want to do something about it, it doesn’t matter what you have or where you come from it’s your heart. If you want to create something amazing just get together with a friend that makes music as well and just start your own little scene and come together and build a community. That’s what I think it’s all about. – Skrillex on collaboration
Skrillex missing the last Australian Stereosonic dates as Dog Blood surely left the anticipating community disappointed but new E.P. on the way, hitting shores down under to reign in the new year and the promise of a stack of new material to come in the form of new Dog Blood, Jack U via fellow potato head Diplo and of course his anticipated sophomore solo record he’s got a lot of opportunity to save face. And Boys Noize, who’ll soon release remixes of ‘Out Of The Black’ by Jimmy Edgar, Blood Diamonds, Audion and more.
