Title track off Pearson Sound‘s new EP is enormous. Out on Hessle Audio, it joins the bare-bone club constructions of ‘Lola’ and ‘Power Drumsss’ as the flipside, and is the absolute stand-out with its ascendant chords and rugged big man skip ‘n swagger. Not sure whether to call it house or techno – or neither? – but nonetheless it’s a killer sound. Different to the other two tunes on the release, ‘Starburst’ continues to bring big tings out of the imprint, with Pangaea just announcing that he’ll be mixing the next ‘FabricLive’ as number 73. Huge times.
