Azealia Banks Cans Disclosure Collaboration, Thankfully. Update: Disclosure respond

Post a dummy spit on the first stop of the Listen Out  parties in Sydney, Azealia Banks has commented on that supposed collaboration with UK dance-dudes Disclosure (who also featured on the lineup) and its eventual canning due to rudeness from the Howard Brothers, ironic much?

“I did something with Disclosure but they were, like, really rude in an interview, so I canned it.”

The interview in question happened all the way back in June when the Harlem rapper tweeted she had the “best studio sessions evah” with the boys, who culled the buzz a little by stating they really just sat around and ate sushi, further adding they didn’t even have a chorus yet.

Seems like this has led to the end of the project although Azealia has threatened to take things a little further in her usual bratty way;

“…And to be honest, I’ve got better stuff on my record… It can be an F-side. A fuck-you side.”

Her forthcoming and hopelessly overhyped record ‘Broke With Expensive Taste” will drop sometime this year with features from Pharrell, rapper Kevin Hussein, Toko Yasuda of Enon and Theophilus London among others.

The Listen Out parties continue this week with stops in Melbourne and Brisbane where fans can catch AlunaGeorge, Duke Dumont, Laura Jones, Rufus and TNGHT – hopefully Lunice hasn’t had anymore problems with local councils in other states.

Update: Disclosure hit back at Azealia in an interview with Triple J’s Tom and Alex this morning about their supposed ‘rudeness’ about the collaboration.

“I don’t give a damn if she uses our song.”

The guys seemed pretty jovial about it all even poking a bit of fun at how rude they were in their own interview We’re actually terrible, terrible people,” Howard Lawrence jibed. “Have you seen the interview where we were rude? It was so bad compared to what she said.”
