Daft Punk Keep Us Guessing As Rodgers Hints At Live Show

Sorry gang, another post about that mysterious duo Daft Punk, but they just won’t stop teasing us! News has surfaced that Nile Rodgers has hinted at a live show in the future. Rodgers, in an interview discussing collabs with the likes of Avicii, Guetta, Tensnake and Chase & Status, when asked about  a future live show Nile cleverly left the door open stating “something might happen.” However, the interview, which was with Billboard, has us confused, as it reads –

Rodgers appeared at the awards’ show with his “Get Lucky” brethren Daft Punk and Pharell, and confirmed with Billboard that he may get on the road with the latter at some point. “Something might happen,” he said.

So, does this mean that he might tour with Pharell or Daft Punk or both? We’re going to assume it is the latter…as in both.

Look, we’re all desperate to see these dudes get the live show off the ground, but are they just pulling our legs? After standing up The Colbert Report a few weeks ago, citing a deal with MTV as the reason for the 11th hour withdrawal, they did it to us again last night! Instead of the promised live performance at the VMA’S viewers were instead left with a sneak peek at the somewhat underwhelming clip for “Lose Yourself To Dance”. This was after they stood silently next to fellow illuminati Pharell and Rodgers as they presented an award to Taylor Swift.

We’re happy to have them in filling our news feeds, but is enough enough? C’mon guys, just let us know what you’re doing! The shenanigans and constant speculation is becoming borderline annoying. Just do it. What do you reckon? Will we ever see them perform live or is this just another publicity stunt to keep these cats relevant?
