Duo out of New Zealand, Andre Fernandez and Tristan Roake, or better known as Truth, return to Tempa Records for the first time since 2011 to bring an expansive, cinematic twist on the deeply rooted sounds of pure dubstep. Since their Dreams release two years ago, the producers have stepped up a knotch with this record and completely stripped down their sounds to make the fewest elements possible enough to make people move. Released yesterday with the vinyl available mid-May, Devil’s Hands focuses on a contrast between sweet and sinister, offering an intricate, smoky, deep dancefloor riddim. I Belong increases this dichotomy even more, dropping incredibly minimalist sounds, pulsing the backdrop which is perfectly in tone with Yayne’s buoyant, mid-range sung vocals.
