The Beatles’ Paul McCartney looks to Moombahton for new album inspiration

Paul McCartney is stepping away from the classic sounds of guitars and strings instead looking at the modern influences of moombahton.

It was Mark Ronson – who confirmed his production of 3 tracks for The Beatles’ new full-length record who spilled the news to Rolling Stone that “He came in one day playing some post-Bonde do Role baile funk-moombahton thing, asking, ‘How do we get this kind of energy?’

Paul also played one of Usher’s seminal hits “Climax” telling Ronson ‘I love where all the sonics sit in this.’ – a further idea of where the next record could be heading.

It seems more and more common for not-really-EDM artists to look towards the roots of dance and electronic music for inspiration. Madonna did it in the 90’s, Waka Flocka looks to be doing it soon so why not one of the last members of The Beatles?
