Grammys, ‘Best Dance/Electronica Albums’ Nominees 2013

With the whitewash of ‘EDM’ into mainstream America has come the perching of once relatively new-school Dance Producers into celebrity status.

It shows with this years nominations filled with relatively youngin’s Skrillex, Steve Aoki and Deadmau5 with some glimpses of the ‘good’ with Chemical Brothers up for a nom’ with ‘Don’t Think’ and Kaskades ‘Fire & Ice’.

In all honesty none of these records really stood out for me in the past year, nor many other releases… in my mind Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs ‘Trouble’ was up there, as was Hot Chips ‘In Our Heads’ – hell even Boys Noizes late-in-the year release ‘Out of the Black’ would have been a serious contender.

Who’s up for the win? Who missed out?

Best Dance/Electronica Album
Wonderland – Steve Aoki
Don’t Think – Chemical Brothers
> Album Title Goes Here < – Deadmau5
Fire & Ice – Kaskade
Bangarang – Skrillex
