It appears Skrillex has made some great decisions in his career but at the risk of millions of dollars with his previous band “From first to last”.

To create the scenario, the story of the band starts with lead singer at the time Matt Good coming in to contact with a guitarist and singer from California by the name of Sonny Moore (Skrillex). Moore flew to Valdosta, Georgia, where Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount was being recorded, and was set to be the band’s rhythm guitarist. However, when the other band members heard Moore singing “Featuring Some of Your Favorite Words”, they decided that he was much better suited for lead singer than guitarist.

Skrillex explained via Teshno his reasoning and risk behind leaving the band to pursue his own craft. “My manger has been together with me since i was 16. we’ve been through everything and seen highs and lows together. i mean, i’m not trying to toot my own horn, but we walked away from million dollar deals with the band, we didn’t care, it wasn’t the music i wanted to make.  these people [around me] are the unsung heroes who look out for me.”
