French Electro Duo Jupiter Plans Album Release

Jupiter is set to release their debut album sometime soon (actual release date to be announced).

Consisting of Amélie and Quarles, they are a Paris-based duo who met in London and along with the likes of Breakbot, The Twelves, and various artists from the Valerie Collective, have been one the most memorable artist from the early days of the french electro / nu-disco scene.

Their sound consistently features prominent use of retro-sounding synths and slapping basslines that compliment Amelie’s characteristic vocals. Aside from singles such as Chip and Sake and a handful of remixes, recently they also contributed the vocal (well, Amélie’s) to Bottin’s incredibly funky remake of Sage Comme Une Image.

Unfortunately there is still very little information regarding the actual material included in the album. What we’ve known so far is that the mixing / mastering process has just been finished a few days ago, and that is what is important since it means the album could be out anytime soon!

In the meanwhile though, check out their take on Blackjoy’s Mercurian.
