Those that were lucky enough to attend this year’s SXSW (UK producer TEED wasn’t so impressed) would have had a slim chance of catching Major Lazer in live form!

The group performed as part of Vice’s own ‘Viceland’ showcase alongside a fairly Hip-Hop/RnB gang made up of Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Lion, Ghostface, Lunice and many more.

Fan footage so far shows a beautifully crafted rendition of “Get Free” with Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman (swoon) and about 30 seconds of heavier beats as part of what essentially is a Major Lazer DJ set.

This is all leading up to the eventual release of “Ride The Universe” the second full-length record that was initially delayed and then confirmed for April 16th on Downturn/Mad Decent.
