Watch: Machinedrum – ‘Gunshotta’ Video Clip; Gang rituals?

Directed by UK film company Institute for Eyes, the official video clip for Travis Stewart a.k.a. Machinedrum‘s ‘Gunshotta’ heavily focuses on a dystopian landscape that the Berlin-based producer seemingly envisioned in his fictitious Vapor City borough, where a gang of tribalistic youngsters maraud around the streets and perform clandestine rituals. Coming off this aptly titled ‘Vapor City’ LP out in a few days for Ninja Tune, it’s the second video for the album behind the lead single ‘Eyesdontlie’, which centred on the city’s dream-like red light district – a place made purely out of Stewart’s imagination.

Personally I like the tune more than the video, and I think his reinforced concept of each of the record’s 10 tracks representing a different location in his imagined metropolis worked better with just audio. But nonetheless, check it for yourself below and stay tuned for the official release of ‘Vapor City’ September 30.
