‘This sounds super weird, but he kind of looks over me’ Ellie Goulding gets suss about Burial

Something weird is going down between Ellie Goulding and Burial, and bloomin’ hell, we MUST know more.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the star let a few things outta the think tank regarding the elusive figure (who was since being revealed as Londoner William Bevan continues to refuse to do press or play live – unlike Goulding whom has seemingly been on a perpetual tour since she got signed). She talks a little too candidly about meeting the mysterious electronic producer, as well as how their relationship has, ahem, developed.

Stating in the interview that Burial had known her since her MySpace days (oldskewl) before she signed to Polydor Records in 2008, Goulding went on to rave about the producer – including a few remarks that carried some connotations that set off the ol’ suss meter.

Case in point;

“He’s just one of those remarkable people that you come across that are so rare… he’s so shy and quiet, but he’s really hard to explain,”

And,

 “I’m constantly fascinated by him. I’ve only had a few encounters with him, but they were really intense. I may never see him again, but we stay in touch constantly.”

Ladies and gentleman of the jury, we go deeper. Things became even stranger when Goulding stated;

“Burial’s one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met… We stay in touch, and this sounds super weird, but he kind of looks over me in a weird way”

Figuratively or literally, it’s a pretty darn strange thing to say. Personally, we hope that they boned. We know that we would try and bury ourselves deep if we met Burial – dem some sexy sounds. We are also wondering if these sessions were intense musically? We wouldn’t be opposed to a cheeky Burial/Ellie Goulding collaboration – opposites attract, right?

What do you think she means? And more importantly – what would Skrillzy think!?
