The XX have announced via their Facebook that they are working a sophomore album following the 2009 debut release ‘XX’.

“We have started recording our second album! We have also started this blog where we will post our inspirations + pictures + favourite songs. We hope you enjoy it! Lots of Love, The xx”

The album announcement coincides with Jamie XX’s increasingly popular production skills with the hope there is some translation to the full-length.

Update: The XX are reportedly working on a song called “Drunk On Love” for Rihanna’s upcoming album ‘Talk That Talk’.
