That new Skrillex and Chance the Rapper collaboration is surprising

Guess what – ex-brostep lord Skrillex and Chicago hip-hop figure Chance the Rapper have teamed up for a new tune, and the result doesn’t really sound anything like you’d expect.

A couple of weeks ago, rap producer Mike Will Made It posted a photo of himself, Skrillex and Chance The Rapper — all of them together in the studio — on Instagram, and in an interview with XXL this month, Sonny said the trio is “working on projects together… [and] whether [the music] come[s] out tomorrow or a year from now, there’s definitely a lot of bullets in the chamber… There’s a lot of cool shit in the making right now.” It was premiered the other night (February 10) at Skrillex’s Brooklyn show – you can watch the video of it below – and while the audio in the fan-made video below is a bit shitty, you get the idea: Chance flips a line from Biggie’s ‘Big Poppa’, Skrillex doesn’t even include a dirty dubstep section.

Just recently, the OWSLA boss has been hilariously sued by a fan claiming his stagedive caused them to suffer a stroke, while also confirming new Jack U material and a What So Not collaboration for this year. Big times!
