Daniel Lopatin, a.k.a. New York based avant garde musician Oneohtrix Point Never, is about to release his album ‘R Plus Seven’ via his new home Warp Records September 30.

Unlike his previous albums like 2011’s ‘Replica’ that focused on memory and media, his latest full-length is all about the art of listening itself. It’s his softest and most colourful record to date, decorated with snatched world music textures and sci-fi nods. Each of the 10 tracks individually explore the weirdly beautiful depths of experimental electronica in their own way, and is, in my opinion, one of the best albums this year.
