They call it on the bigger players all the time: that their hit wasn’t really written by them. ‘Ghost producer’ is thrown around like those rumours in high school of who made out with who so much that when 10 year old Aiden Jude comes out with an official release you can’t be so sure he made with a senior that one time.

Aside from the  taunts of ‘you can do amazing things when you’ve got rich parents’ the other theory surrounding was the usual, ‘this 10 year old didn’t write the song on his own if at all’. Pass your 20s folks if you cared enough to bet because Universal publishing just recently revealed the team behind “Tonight” with the pint sized DJ/Producer.

Universal Music Publishing Songwriter and Producer, Carlos Escalona recently co-wrote “Tonight” with recording artist Nafsica for 10 year old DJ/Producer Aiden Jude. “Tonight” has been released by Shap Records on Beatport and has received praise from various industry publications, including Dancing Astronaut and White Raver Rafting. Carlos has won a 2013 BMI Latin Award as part of his songwriting efforts on Paulina Rubio’s “Me Gustas Tanto.” – 18th April 2014

Cool, an accomplished writer got a tune on the charts *slow clap* but the fishy part about this particular episode is the co-writer credit was not on the level when ‘Tonight’ was released back in March but a month later after the viral buzz has started to slow….because who’s going to care right?
