It’s An Australian Invasion! ADM Sets its sights on SXSW

Represent! Looking back 2013 was a stellar year for the roster of Australian electronic acts on local and international shores, even further establishing home grown talent as players on the world stage. From the inexplicable year of wins that Flume and What So Not have managed, Wave Racer just recently making the Diplo annual roundup on BBC radio 1, Rufus sell-out tours overseas, Anna Lunoe enjoying her label home at Fool’s Gold, young gun Swick and beatsmith Ta-ku totally blowing up and more (sound off on anything/everything we’ve missed below) eyes will be firmly set on what the new generation of talent from down under has to offer as a bursting crew of our best and brightest will be descending on the annual SXSW conference this March.

Not ignoring the amazing roster of indie and rock bands that also made the list but damn there’s alot of Stoney favourites on the bill!

Like Holy Ship this weekend the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas is famously an indicator of acts and sounds that will be making 2014 their own; as the industry descends upon the southern town the acts that are invited to play have got the eyes and ears of the world to catch them. It’s really exciting to see such a strong, who’s who of local ‘next crop’ artists join the annual conference as further attention draws on what Australia has to offer in 2014 and we look forward to seeing how they perform in the year to come!

A few of chosen highlights from the 2014 roster

SXSW 2014 kicks off March 7th – 16th, 2014 in Austin, Texas. More details on the Music, Film and Interactive Conference here.

Check out Wave Racers double EP that features the incredible single “Stoopid” that can also be found in our first free compilation Stoney Roads – Volume One.
