2013 has heralded the meteoric rise of unknown bedroom dance music producers from around Australia. The growing consciousness of such producers has been largely attributable to a number of forums that celebrate unsigned Australian talent – namely Aussie radio stations such as FBI and Triple J’s Unearthed.

Australian dance up-and-comers have absolutely dominated Triple J’s ‘Most Played Artists of 2013‘ Unearthed chart that was just released, with solid entries across the 50 penned. Congrats are in order for Stoney Roads bros Cosmo’s Midnight, LDRU, Yahtzel and Wave Racer (clocked in at Number 2 – massive!) who all featured on our first ever compilation that dropped earlier this year. Shout outs to some other personal favs – including  The Kite String Tangle, Rainbow Chan, Tales In Space, Sable and Tkay Maidza.

Let’s hope that 2014 sees bigger and brighter things for these awesome acts and the continued awareness and celebration of Aussie dance music.
