33 Students banned for ‘Expressing Themselves’ Diplo style

In an expression of displeasure for many at Scripps Ranch, 33 students have been suspended from school and more for expressing themselves Diplo style.

In a statement from the school (reported on Gawker.com), the head honcho’s of Scripp Ranch High School in San Diego have strongly detested the video and declared it a violation of school policy. The school has a zero tolerance stance on “Verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature made by someone from or in the educational setting.”

It didn’t take long for Diplo to respond with the Mad Decent owner stating:

One banned student took to Twitter and said “Suspended, banned from prom, and prevented from walking at graduation all because of an awesome twerk video,” “I don’t understand.”

Is this punishment too harsh?

Does anyone remember the teacher who got banned?
