Arty and Mat Zo ripped off by pop stars

Will.I.Steal is at it again along with bumbling partner in crime and all-around douchebag Chris Brown with the release of “Let’s Go” online yesterday.

The original beat is actually from storming producers Arty and Mat Zo and their track “Rebound” – compare the two below.

It seems neither knew of the deal with Matt eventually deleting his Twitter account in protest post some serious words with his fans and Arty left to figure out what’s going on through his own social networks.

Their label Anjunabeats who was at first copping a lot of abuse for allowing it to happen eventually replied to a tweet saying they weren’t “aware of the track until this morning” which has left further head scratching.

In what will mostly likely turn out to be a profitable avenue for both Arty and Mat Zo via a hefty royalty cheque (quote Arty: already on the phone) it still doesn’t nullify the atrocious principle of ‘steal now, pay later’ that has become more normal for pop artists looking to take inroads into ‘EDM’.

Probably our favourite or most disturbing bit of it all is Chris Brown’s continued ignorance telling his fans on Twitter “I don’t even know who mat zo? Or arty is?” – Hey Chris Brown, fuck you!

Update: Looks like Sandro Silva & Quintino’s track “EPIC” isn’t safe either… although we aren’t sure if this is above board or not? Anyone?
