Talk about a storm in a teacup… UK dubstep lad Rusko has come out guns blaring over an incident regarding his new album ‘Songs’, due out next week on Mad Decent.
The label had organised a full stream of the record on Mixmag – running it this morning, but had forgotten to tell owner and producer Rusko about the promotion that led to a scathing attack on his twitter;
“Try and keep something under wraps for months and then the fucking label allowed a full live stream. Congrats @maddecent it’s everywhere now”. This was swiftly followed by a one-word Tweet: “cunts”.
With his label agreement finishing on the 27th and being “free from the label” he felt he “might just put the album for free on my website to fuck em … I’m gonna post the fucking torrent links day of release. No $ for you @maddecent. And I’ll upload the cunting thing myself.”
Mixmag have since taken down the stream and been cleared by the cockney rude boy – “@Mixmag no messengers shot!! U guys r just reppin – big ups for that!”
No official statement from Mad Decent has been given yet.
A timely feud or the real deal, what do you think?
