Rudimental Take On The Fugees for Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’

UK drum and bass band Rudimental, who are currently slaying on their national Australian tour dropped into independent youth radio station Triple J to knock out something for ‘Like A Version’ (a popular segment that allows bands to cover other bands)

The band decided on “Ready or Not” from seminal group The Fugees and unsurprisingly, killed it. Vocals from both girls helped keep the aching sincerity the original harboured while slick basslines and a squawking trumpet rounded things out for a pretty clean cover.

Rudimental, who performed live at the official launch party on Tuesday (video and photos) have also been announced for Future Music Festival 2014 alongside Deadmau5, Dubfire, Gesaffelstein, ATB and many many more. This year has been pivotal in their success with “Waiting All Night” topping UK charts and general international performances.

Watch the cover below. Did they nail it?
