Parklife 2012 + New Location For Sydney

Everyone’s favourite National Festival Parklife have revealed the dates for this years festivities plus a sneaky move for the Sydney leg.

Kicking off late September the tour will head to Brisbane on the 29th (Saturday), Sydney on the 30th September (Sunday), Perth 1st October (Monday), Melbourne 6th October (Saturday) and Adelaide 7th October (Sunday).

The big news so far is the move for Sydney with Kippax Lake getting the boot and the festival returning to Centennial Park, the original home for the festival.

Festival Director John Wall explained the move “Parklife started its life deep inside Centennial Park, and while Kippax lake has been a great venue for the last 8 years, we’ve been itching to move back inside the Park for a while, so we’re very excited, not only to be there but right next to the original Parklife 2000 venue.”

As for hints and tips we’re expecting some classic acts for a move back to its roots (Fatboy Slim?) and some Australian talent on the line up (PNAU?).
