New Technology for DJs to Measure Performance (Tested By A-Trak)

Traktor aren’t the only ones innovating with their world’s smallest premium DJ interface with budding innovator, entrepreneur and slightly cheesy iPad musician / DJ Rana June spearheading a new technology that figures out how many people are dancing in a crowd for a DJ at any time, plus more.

The new wristband called ‘Lightwave’ collects data such as movement, audio levels and body temperature which is then fed through to the DJ, who can see at a glance how many people are dancing and how well those at the back can hear the music.

June’s invention has been met with keen interest after being showcased for the first time at SXSW at the Pepsi Biometric Experience, with even DMC champ and Fools Gold owner A-Trak pumping out his turntablism to the masses.

We wonder if it captures data from those lucky souls copping a wristy in the bathroom though?
