Proxy’s new album Music From The Eastblock Jungles, Pt. 1 has been well anticipated with the single Audio 15 (see interview and listen to Audio 15 here), a track that is very obviously cut from a different bolt of cloth production-wise in comparison to previous releases such as Raven. In saying this however, it still retains Proxy’s dark charm that underlies his production style. Keeping in the same grain of thought, Marseille has kept Proxy’s dark industrial-techno vibe, mixed up the drum lines, giving a little more ‘club friendly’ structure and has stretched out Proxy’s play on the filters in the baseline. Definitely an energetic play on the original whilst still retaining the tracks ominous ambience.
