Problems – ‘For The Ages’ EP

problems

Problems is South Australian musician and producer Justin Walkden. Having been involved in numerous musical endeavours including touring both nationally and internationally, the bedroom producer has just release his debut EP ‘For The Ages’.

Influences on this EP can be drawn to the chill wave vibes of Washed Out and the worldly electronica of Bonobo which he achieves through a mix of analogue sounds and modern production.

Problems enlisted the hazy vocals of fellow Adelaide musician Shane Lock, who distinctly completes the swirling reverbed harmonies on this EP. Turning away from the production styles of what some are calling “sub-par Flume clones”, this is a refreshing step forward in Australian electronic music production.

Described by Problems as “depicting a memory we still long for of a time that didn’t matter, For The Ages is a lush, sprawling collection of mellow tracks that spiral with intimate ambition. Immersed in themes of youth and nostalgia, For The Ages is an emotive experience through past lives, present relationships and future experiences, a journey that is only just beginning…”
