He featured on a various artists release on M.U.D in August last year, and also had ‘Criminal‘ released on an EP in December alongside the label boss Demon and Versa, but now, the king of unique dubstep NDread has finally had a solo four-tracker put out on his home label Macabre Unit Digital. Up top, title track ‘Robots’ gets gloomy before heading into gritty, almost bro-step territory while EP highlight ‘Dead Off’ uses droned-out vocals to compliment the sudden break (think as big as M16 by Kaiju). Flipside, ‘Menace’ goes deeper into a more regular M.U.D. vibe, while the EP closer ‘Bass Unit’ gets super weird with punchy, repetitive bass stabs and continuous squeals yet still maintaining that 140 vibe we love. Huge stuff throughout – pay particular attention to ‘Dead Off’ though.
