Heralded (but not lauded enough) intergalactic disco remixer Mighty Mouse just released his first solo original in quite some time, and it’s a doozy. The muscular While his remixes bring the uplifting funk, his original work is somewhat scarce–although his recent collaboration with Matt Van Schie as Du Donc is deservedly making noise.

“Love Is Gonna Lift You Up” is a mesmerizing work, served best with Ibiza, topless beaches, and sunrises (the late kind). Mouse calls it “Turnip Disco.” I don’t know what that means, but it’s simply delicious.
