Lockah – Let The Cool Air Breeze (Skream & Benga BBC Radio1 Rip)

A producer’s core strength lies in being consistent and transformative. Since the release of Lockah’s debut EP back in June – When U Stop Feeling Like A Weirdo & Become A Threat — this Aberdeen bass head has been tooling away at developing a sound that is loaded with uplifting, poignant melodies that are both whimsical and wild. “Let The Cool Air Breeze” is more evidence of the Tuff Wax labelhead’s creative naming and distinctive production style. Skream puts it best in the rip recording: “I’m feelin’ da 80s synths on these ones.” Not to mention, you’ve gotta love the pee-splashing-in-a-bottle effect near the end that contrasts with the feeling of flying on a magical synth carpet ride.

This is a world exclusive preview of one track from his upcoming EP, Only Built 4 Neon Nites to be released in March on Donky Pitch.
