You may have caught this lovely track if you heard Justin Jay’s Dirtybird Halloweend Mix back in October, but if not it bears a few listens. The San Francisco crew’s youngest member is actually based in LA, and brings a unique style with influences ranging from Daft Punk to Rachmaninoff to the big Dirtybird daddy himself, Claude VonStroke (as you can clearly hear in this track). Justin describes himself as having “a true calling for groovey deep house and raunchy tech,” so his style matches perfectly with the label, and “Altitude” is a prime example of that freaky, funky, tripped out, tech-housey, unified sound Dirtybird has cultivated.
