Hermitude – Ukiyo

It’s safe to say Australian beat duo Hermitude have a very special place in our hearts as they cross boundaries by drawing on both electronic and Hip Hop elements seamlessly. Since the release of their last record ‘Hyperparadise’ – that nabbed a seriously popular remix from good friend Flume, they’ve successfully navigated local waters and remain both true to their sound and create a live show like no other.

After a recent Boiler Room spot alongside Basenji, Seekae and Black Vanilla it’s hard to understand just how well they translate from the studio to the live performance and vice versa, but a testament to the skill set of Luke Dubs and El Gusto.

They’ve been previewing new material from their forthcoming album for over 12 months now with “Ukiyo” being the first official single to land in full and online for new and old fans. It chops and drives a harder groove than ever and a perfect progression of the lads and a reminder that the new album will be hot as shit!

Looks like they’ll play a sting of UK shows with spots at Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape while also playing Londons XOYO before jetting off to Germany.
