Foamo – Release Me EP [Rinse]

As one of Rinse FM’s own radio hosts and a sub-heavy house maestro, Kyle Gibbon – or Foamo – has carved up a four-track suite for Rinse Recordings, entitled Release Me, released on Beatport about 3 hours ago.

Over the past five years Foamo has carved himself out a powerful niche in UK club music, with his takes on house drawing strong influence from growing up with drum & bass, garage and grime. On this EP the presence of those styles is as tangible as ever – sub-bass is hard, punchy and optimised to rattle through the chest; drums are swung to a lean garage flex – and they’re put to the service of some of the most multi-faceted music he’s produced to date. All four tracks find Foamo crafting house music that engages with the genre’s wider context, while remaining steeped in the immediacy and rudeness of the UK’s homegrown garage sounds.

Tracklist:
Release Me ft. Lotti
