Flight Facilities – I Didn’t Believe (Tiger & Woods Remix)

Flight Facilities released “I Didn’t Believe” last week, and, as is tradition, they broke bloggosphere after coming out of their 6 month hibernation to release an original song. It’s a smash–and coupled with a lovely visual ode to Soul Train that’s likely to take over pool parties throughout the US this summer.  It’s a testament to both Flight Facilities talent and universal appeal that their tunes are lauded by even the most barbaric EDM blogs around. And symbolic of what’s occurring at the forefront of dance music–good music rising to the top.

The remix package features one big, burgeoning name–Tiger & Woods–who deliver exactly what we’ve come to expect from the duo: a hpynotic synth-laden extended cut. They did some cool cut-ups to Elizabeth Rose’s vocals, and the takeaway is a less-pop and more funked out version.

Another remix comes from the underrated and unheralded Lou Teti, the NYC-based label head for Tigers On A Leash. Teti’s remix is one of those ethereal, patented Nu Disco tracks (reminds me of Rocco Raimundo’s magical “Foreign Language” Remix) and might be the neatest of the bunch. The bass-line he threw in is at first kind of weird but in the end awesome, and the part towards the end where he lets the vocals takes over is a major nut.

There’s another remix from Light Year which is in outer space and you can buy the whole package on Beatport.
