€urocrats – Follow Me

19 days ago, something unexpected and wonderful appeared in my SoundCloud feed: the song called “Follow Me” by an unknown production entity simply titled €urocrats–but out on Aeroplane’s newish label, Aeropop Records.

I played the preview a few times in a row, hit the favorite button, and moved on. The sound was and is purely uplifting, 80s inspired Cosmic Disco. The sound is also very reminiscent of the legendary Fear of Tigers which makes me very, very happy.

Alas, more details arose today and it turns out that the €urocrats are not 11 year old Parisian twins playing with their uncle’s Moog while nibbling on Lu Cookies–it’s the alias of, *yawn*, Aeroplane and Dimitri From Paris.

The total package is out now on Beatport, and amongst the remixes, the subtle stunner comes courtesy of one half of Classixx:

It’s okay to smile when double rainbows like this happen.
