Motez: Top 5 club tracks

Australian house producer Motez has dropped by Stoney Roads to offer his thoughts on five club tracks that would serve as fire for any producers collection.

After creating a whirlwind of fans via his edits of Justin Timberlake and Frankie Ocean, the Adelaide based producer is ramping up an Australia/New Zealand tour to celebrate his EP launch which includes two tracks titled ‘Call My Name’ and ‘Find Me’. With one of the next stops being a Saturday night (15th June 2013) set locked in at Cakes at World Bar Sydney, here is an insight into the type of stuff Motez will be dropping in his DJ set there and throughout his tour!

Chesus – 3AM Dub

This track sums up what I love about that mid-nineties house music, particularly the sounds of New York and New Jersey. So much flow and energy using the most minimal components.

Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr – Get Naked (Alli Borem Remix)

When people ask me what does “jackin” mean, I play them this track. One of those tracks that stops in weird places and has a form of its own. Whenever I hear it I can not stop moving.

Riva Starr & Jestofunk – Together (Club Mix)

The vocals by house music legend CeCe Rogers give me goosebumps, when you think this track is your standard house track, in comes the hoover followed by a great drop, the look on people’s faces when that happen is priceless. GOLD TRACK.

Frames – Slow

This track is amazing, so groovy. Whether you leave it at 110 BPM or speed it up to 122 BPM , it will still sound great. Top notch work.

Motez – Call My Name

Well, I thought of including an original track of my own in this list that I use in my sets. The moment the vocals drop followed by the bass the place usually goes mental. Out soon on Say Wat along with “Find Me”.
