Major Lazer Album Could Be Complete ‘By The End Of The Year’

Jillionaire from Major Lazer has declared that their new album may be ready by the end of the year if they stick to schedule. After providing Triple J host Lewi McKirdy a ‘Lunch with Lewi’ Friday mixtape, the one third of the popular dance hall hype crew opened up on tour life and their next albums plans:

“We’ve had a crazy [touring] schedule, I think we’ve been touring for the last 18 months. It’s been crazy, it’s been hectic, it’s been a lot of fun. I think that once this year shuts down we’re gonna pull it back in and do a lot less touring. Right now we’re going in to a bunch of writing sessions for the next album, and hopefully we’re gonna finish that off by the end of the year. It should be out sometime next year.”

After the recent great success of their sophomore album ‘Free the Universe‘ (review) and the fresh start without UK fidget electro pioneer Switch, it is quite unpredictable in terms of what their third album could provide but that is creative beauty of the outfit.

In the mean time you can check out the seductively colourful new video for their latest single ‘Jet Blue Jet’ and the five free remixes available for download here!
