Live Nation To Invest $1 Billion Into Dance Music

Live Nation, the worlds biggest touring company is looking to spend $1 Billion into acquiring dance and electronic assets.

The company, who recently purchased the Cream Fields brand has around 50 estimated ‘dance related’ companies they wish to buy.

It doesn’t stop there as some inclinations have been pointed towards the Australian based Totem Onelove brand who are behind the current largest electronic festival downunder Stereosonic!

Richie McNeil, of Totem Onelove didn’t have any objections to the idea stating “There’s always been outside interest in Australia… Live Nation is definitely looking to invest…. I don’t think anything has to change if someone buys your company and keeps you there”.

CEO Robert Silverman feels Live Nation’s considerable resources will make for greater festival and event experiences for fans of EDM.

“I’m also confident that we will create a better experience for the fans”, said Silverman.

Although we’d love to see certain acts head down under, all we’re currently seeing is a complete dilution of a once pure scene.

What are your thoughts on globalising ‘EDM’.
