Jamie Oliver finds Joy Division/New Order master tapes

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has found rare master tapes of seminal UK band/s Joy Division and New Order.

The find was set about with the food-artist buying and renovating an old bank in Manchester, England when a stash of safety boxes was found in the basement, the contents of which have turned out to be worth over $1 million pounds!

After an unsuccessful search of the rightful owners Jamie’s property took ownership of the boxes which when drilled and opened contained contents ranging from firearms to gold jewellery and most importantly (in our eyes) the very rare masters for recordings from both Joy Division and New Order.

Bizarre.

New Order will be playing the Future Music Festival and Sydney/Melbourne sideshows.
