By now the Boiler Room has found a special place in our hearts as the world’s best live stream music show. With a flava all it’s own, the London flagship show now has counterparts broadcasting from Berlin, Los Angeles, and New York, forming a massively impressive archive of sets.
Recently graduating from the original boiler room location in East London, the parties have gained an elite status with the “Do Not Disturb” editions, broadcast from W Hotels around the world. The Boiler Room is the perfect juxtaposition of exclusivity vs. inclusivity. All of the shows are “strictly private, you must be on a guest list to get in,” but anyone in the world can “attend” virtually by streaming and downloading the sets. In other words, everyone wins.
For those of you who might be doubting that dreams come true, set your alarm clock for 7pm GMT this Tuesday, December 4th for the James Zabiela / Born Electric Boiler Room takeover, and let all your doubts be face-melted away.
James Zabiela announced via Facebook that he’d be playing a Boiler Room set alongside new labelmates, Gang Colours, Pedestrian, and Pedram “at a secret location! ;)”.
He launched Born Electric only a few months ago, hosting dedicated label parties at Space for “We Love…” this past summer. Next week on December 10th he’ll also debut “The Healing,” his first release on the new imprint. Check out the title track, which showcases Zabiela’s wide ranging soundscape, capturing a more pensive, astral melody, in contrast to his hardcore rave performance style.
JZ’s three counterparts on the show are also known for wistful, ambient-inspired vibes, and as BoilerRoom.TV points out, “this is going to be a real fresh treat for you all. The fruit salad of Boiler Room broadcasts if you will.”
