From Ashes to Vinyl: Become A Hipster Beyond The Grave

Dying just became waaaaay more hipster via a company that is offering to cremate your ashes into a fully-functional vinyl record.

Eccentric entrepreneur Jason Leach founded company And Vinyly back in 2009 which for a fee less than $5000 will provide your relatives with a pressed record version of yourself (Kind of like a Transformer right?).

The service allows for any track of your choice to be pressed, be it something ironic which I would totally do e.g. Some sort of death metal song or you can even leave a spooky message to scare future grandchildren of generations to come.

With hundreds of enquiries reported, Leach said that 4 clients had officially been serviced;

2 Client examples

  • a DJ wanted to literally be on the decks at his favourite club, as per his final request,
  • Amsterdam artist Francesca Grilli rendered into a classical piece which was composed just for her own death

What song would you put on your vinyl if you were cremated and pressed?
