Forbes reveal ‘Biggest EDM Earners’, slightly more believable

Forbes, the worlds accountants have put together a serious attempt at scaling the big earners within the dance and electronic world.

The new list follows on from the fairly lucid attempt by Celebrity Net Worth that had more holes in it then a Swiss picnic! It was thought that the original folly was based on single and album sales that reached back several years.

So who came in at the top?

Tiesto of course followed by dubstep lord Skrillex, from there Swedish House Puppets, David Guetta, Steve Aoki and Deadmau5 all gouged out some serious earners.

The biggest WTF was DJ Pauly D who in his short career (?) netted a cool $11million since appearing on the awful TV show Jersey Shore… did they charge per fist pump?

Old mate Afrojack who made recent waves verbally bashing ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton’s ‘DJ’ skills also scooped one of the last spots.

Strangely enough Avicii kicked about at number ten… weird.

Anyway, moral of the story? Produce cheese, sell out stadiums and get rich – and here I was thinking 90% of the world was lactose intolerant.

1. Tiesto – $22m
2. Skrillex – $15m
3. Swedish House Mafia – $14m
4. David Guetta – $13.5m
5. Steve Aoki – $12m
6. Deadmau5 – $11.5m
7. DJ Pauly D – $11m
8. Kaskade – $10m
9. Afrojack – $9m
10. Avicii – $7m
