Insomniac events is returning this month with their second annual dance music-centric conference EDM Biz. The festival giant promoter led by Pasquale Rotella brings the industry’s elite in to town a few days early to talk shop before the party begins. As our once-small scene grows into a bustling billionaire industry, forums such as this become essential for both budding and busting brands alike.

Spots like WMC, ADE, IMS, and EDMBiz create a prime location to float your new projects and rub shoulders with the business bigwigs. Hosting speakers including the top promoters, booking agents, managers, and artists the conference is a great opportunity to get your feet wet and make your mark on dance.

In such a young and exploding market most everyone is running in the dark as to what’s the next move. Not only does the conference focus on promoting best practices but seeks to cultivate a global ‘ecosystem’ for sustainability and credibility (their words not mine).

It all sounds pretty good in our opinion considering a little over a decade ago many of these guys were throwing events in abandoned warehouses with not much rhyme or reason. Take it from them, in order to make the electric phenomenon work, education is key. Take a couple of extra days before your rave extravaganza and get in on the action.
