Heads Up OG’s Dr. Dre’s Mixer is on the Market

An SSL mixing console which birthed some of Dr. Dre’s greatest work is on the market to the mercy of the highest bidder.

The 1986 mixing board, which has also been caressed by the likes of Pink Floyd and Pearl Jam was the technological force behind Dre’s period with Death Row Records – smashing out albums such as The Chronic, Doggystyle and All Eyez on Me.

The musical artefact was the flagship tool of LA’s Can-Am Studios and the property of pro mixing engineer Chris Lord-Agle, whom put in ‘six months of labour and $50,000 (USD) into restoring this board’.

According to the listing, some features of the board include a casual 48 frame with 44 mono and 4 stereo modules (a whooooooooole lotta dials), as well as 3.5″ floppy drives. FLOPPY DRIVES. Somebody buy this piece of history dammit!

Although with price unpublished, we’re guessing this shizzy won’t come cheap.
